They had lots of admirers, including my friend Tor and his five kiddos - plus a "borrowed" one. Maia and Fischer had a blast playing with all the kids, especially because they got lots of treats. Fischer was so well behaved, even with all of the excitement.
The pups had three milestones today - one a REALLY big one.
- They learned to scratch when they have an itch.
- They started PLAYING with each other - wrestling a little bit and biting at each other.
- and the BIG one, they started eating moist kibble.
Yesterday I caught a couple of them sucking on a few pieces of dry kibble that Maia spilled, and today I put some in a bowl with water and they loved it. I tried canned food and they weren't too interested, but they loved the soggy kibble. I'd say at least four of them tried it. Now if I can just keep Maia from devouring it all! She is pretty much eating everything in sight today, the puppies food, her food, Fischer's food. I can't seem to keep her food bowl full.
Tomorrow their box will get separated into two areas, a sleep area and a potty area - to start the potty training process. I also got collars for them today - boy was it hard to try to get 7 different ones for the girls. It won't be long before they are ready for their new homes!
