About Goldendoodles

Goldendoodles are a crossbreed between golden retrievers and standard poodles. First generation dogs are born to a golden retreiver and standard poodle. Second general dogs, such as ours, are born to two first generation goldendoodles.

Goldendoodles are loving, social, smart family dogs. They range in size from 50-90 pounds. Our two are around 60 pounds. They have straight to curly hair (not fur) and are considered hypoallergenic. Although it is always best to be around a dog first to see how your allergies will react. Goldendoodles shed slightly to not at all. Regular brushing greatly reduces the amount of shedding. Most owners trim their goldendoodles coat several times a year as it keeps growing and can mat.
