Meet Homer the newest member of our household. You might recall I mentioned Homer was found on our sidewalk back in early May. Well here we are 6 weeks later and he is still part of the family. We tried to pick an "Alaska" name and tried out quite a few before we decided on Homer. Our friend's little girl thinks Homer Ralph is a good name. He has grown a lot in the past 6 weeks, from 4 pounds to 14+! He fits right in and Maia loves playing with him. Fischer seems to tolerate him but still isn't a huge fan of being the middle child.
Homer had his first camping trip to the Denali Highway last weekend and did great with the tent and 550 miles on the road. He fits right in and still looks like a black doodle. We haven't done the genetic test yet so the jury is still out on what breed he is. While I'm not looking forward to the potential, well likely, shedding of black hair all over my house he is pretty darn cute and loveable!
